What is supplied
- 150 kg Platform Scale, platform and digital indicator
Good for
- Parcel weighing before booking a carrier
- Goods-in checks on sacks and cartons at cash and carries and wholesalers
- Portion and batch weighing in a prep or packing area
- Counting inventory by weight without lifting onto a counter
What it is for
A 150 kg industrial platform scale is an industrial weighing scale with a low, flat platform on load cells and a separate digital indicator, built for loads up to 150 kg that a small bench or parcel scale cannot take.
It is the smallest of our three 150 kg to 600 kg platform scales and the one for hand-loaded weighing: parcels before they go to the carrier, sacks and cartons at goods-in, portion and batch weighing in a prep area, and counting inventory by weight. It suits cash and carries, wholesalers, independent retailers and food distributors that need a fast, repeatable check weight without lifting onto a counter.
- Capacity 150 kg. Choose a capacity above your heaviest single load, including the box, sack or crate.
- Check-weighing only. This model is not trade approved, so it is not for buying or selling by weight. The guide explains what a trade approved scale is and when you need one, and we can quote approved models on request.
- Hand loaded. No ramp is needed for items you can lift onto the platform.
- Sales only. We do not hire and we do not sell used. Business customers only.
Weighing loaded trolleys, drums or half pallets? Step up to the 600 kg Platform Scale. Weighing full pallets? See the 2000 kg Pallet Scale. The guide compares a platform scale with a pallet scale.
What is supplied
Each scale is supplied new as a weighing platform with its digital indicator, ready to set up on arrival.
- 150 kg Platform Scale, platform and indicator (SKU LPT-PS150)
Platform size, display division, power supply, indicator mounting and the warranty period are confirmed in writing with your quote before you pay a deposit. Wear items are excluded from the warranty; see warranty and returns. Because this is a check-weighing model, there is no verification mark and no trade approval certificate to supply. The guide covers calibration, verification and re-verification if you need a routine calibration check once the scale is in use.

Minimum order applies. Mix models in the range to reach it. Any mix of scales counts, so 150 kg, 300 kg and 600 kg platform scales and the 2000 kg pallet scale on one order count together. See minimum order. Trade credit is available to UK limited companies and LLPs, subject to checks: apply for a trade account.
Compare with the other scales
Three platform scales and one pallet scale, one range minimum. Pick by the heaviest load you weigh and how it gets onto the platform. A bigger capacity normally means a coarser reading, so do not oversize.
- 300 kg Platform Scale: the mid-size model for counter weighing and most goods-in checks.
- 600 kg Platform Scale: the floor scale for drums, half pallets and loaded trolleys.
- 2000 kg Pallet Scale: the floor pallet scale for full UK and Euro pallets at goods-in and despatch.
All three platform scales are listed on platform scales; the pallet scale is on pallet scales. The guide explains what e and d mean when you compare readings.

Frequently asked questions
Does the 150 kg platform scale need a ramp or a bench?
No ramp. The 150 kg Platform Scale is hand loaded, so parcels, sacks and cartons are lifted straight onto the low platform. It sits on the floor or on a goods-in bench, and the separate indicator can be placed at eye level. Platform size and indicator mounting are confirmed in writing with your quote, so tell us on WhatsApp where it will sit.
Should I choose the 150 kg or the 300 kg platform scale?
Choose 150 kg if your heaviest single item, including its box or sack, sits comfortably under 150 kg: parcels, cartons and 25 kg sacks. Choose 300 kg for counter weighing of mixed loads and heavier goods-in checks. A bigger capacity normally means a coarser reading, so do not oversize. Both count together towards the scales range minimum on one order.
