Platform Scales and Floor Scales, 150 kg to 600 kg, factory-direct
A platform scale is an industrial weighing scale with a low, flat weighing platform and a separate indicator. We sell 150 kg, 300 kg and 600 kg platform scales and a 2000 kg pallet scale, new and factory-direct to UK business customers. All are check-weighing models for goods-in and despatch. Ask for a trade price on WhatsApp.
Also called: floor scales, industrial scales, warehouse scales, platform weighing scales, digital platform scales or, for the pallet model, weigh beams.

Platform scales compared: confirmed values only. Platform sizes, divisions and indicator features are supplied with your quote.
| Model | Capacity | Typical loads | Loading | Platform size | Weighing type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 kg Platform Scale | 150 kg | Parcels, sacks, cartons | Hand loaded | on request | Check-weighing |
| 300 kg Platform Scale | 300 kg | Sacks, drums, crates, returns | Hand loaded | on request | Check-weighing |
| 600 kg Platform Scale | 600 kg | Drums, half pallets, roll cages, trolleys | Hand or trolley, subject to platform size | on request | Check-weighing |
Which platform scale do I need?
For parcels, sacks and cartons on a bench or goods-in desk, order the 150 kg Platform Scale. For most goods-in checks, drums, crates and counter work, the 300 kg Platform Scale. For half pallets, loaded roll cages and trolleys wheeled on, the 600 kg Platform Scale. For full pallets moved by pallet truck, the 2000 kg pallet scale for full pallets.
All four are check-weighing models. They are for goods-in, despatch and inventory counts, not for selling by weight. If the reading sets the price your customer pays, read what a trade approved scale is and when you need one before you order.
The table below lists confirmed values only. Platform sizes, divisions and indicator features are on the spec sheet sent with your quote. Send a photo of the space on WhatsApp and we will confirm the platform size that fits.
Platform scales by capacity: 150 kg, 300 kg and 600 kg
Choose the capacity above your heaviest load, including the bin, crate or trolley it sits in. A bigger capacity usually means a coarser division, so do not oversize.
- 150 kg Platform Scale: parcels, sacks, cartons and portion checks. Hand loaded on a bench or a goods-in desk.
- 300 kg Platform Scale: the everyday goods-in scale for a cash and carry or wholesaler. Sacks of rice and flour, drums, crates and returns.
- 600 kg Platform Scale: a low floor platform for drums, half pallets, loaded roll cages and trolleys wheeled on.
Each is a digital platform weighing scale with a steel platform on load cells and a separate indicator, supplied new and made to order. One minimum applies to the scales range, so any mix of the three capacities and the pallet scale counts towards it.
Industrial floor scales for loads up to 2000 kg
A floor scale is a platform scale with a low platform that sits on the floor, so drums, roll cages and pallets can be wheeled on rather than lifted. In our range the 600 kg Platform Scale covers half pallets and wheeled loads, and the 2000 kg pallet scale for full pallets takes a full pallet placed by a hand or electric pallet truck.
We sell the fixed platform type only. Weigh beams, U-frame scales and pallet trucks with built-in scales are not in the range. The differences are explained under pallet scale or floor scale in the guide. If loads will be wheeled onto the platform, say so on WhatsApp and we will confirm access options with your quote.
See the full pallet scales page for the 2000 kg model.
Heavy duty platform scales and industrial weighing scales
A heavy duty industrial weighing scale has a steel platform on load cells, built to take repeated full loads that a plastic parcel or postal scale cannot. Our 300 kg and 600 kg platform scales and the 2000 kg pallet scale are this type: an industrial platform with a separate indicator, built for repeated goods-in loads.
They suit cash and carries, wholesalers, food distributors, warehouses and independent retailers weighing goods in and out every day. Frame material, platform finish and indicator features are confirmed on the spec sheet sent with your quote. Tell us on WhatsApp what you will weigh and how often, and we will quote the right model.
Warehouse scales and floor scales for warehouse goods-in, despatch and inventory counts
Warehouse scales do three jobs. On goods-in they check that a delivery weighs what the supplier's note says. On despatch they give a carrier weight before the pallet leaves. For inventory counts they weigh loose or boxed goods so you can count by weight instead of by hand.
Check-weighing models are enough for all three, because the reading does not set a price a customer pays. Pair a 300 kg Platform Scale on the goods-in desk with the 2000 kg pallet scale on the bay, then move the pallet you just weighed with a truck from the pallet trucks range. Loose picking goes on a trolley from the cash and carry trolleys range or a roll cage.
Check-weighing, not for selling by weight
Every scale on this page is a check-weighing model for goods-in, despatch and inventory counts. It carries no approval marking and is not for selling by weight.
If you sell loose goods by the kilo, read what a trade approved scale is and when you need one, then ask on WhatsApp. Approved models can be quoted on request.
Trade prices ex VAT, business customers only
Platform scales for sale to UK business customers only: cash and carries, wholesalers, independent retailers, food distributors and warehouses. Prices are trade prices ex VAT and are quoted per order, not printed on the page. Message us on WhatsApp with the model and quantity and you will get a written trade price with the delivery charge and lead time included.
Every quote is confirmed in writing before you pay. Trade credit is available to UK limited companies and LLPs, subject to checks: apply on the trade account page.
Minimum order across the scales range, any mix of models
Minimum order applies. Mix models in the range to reach it.
The minimum applies to the scales range as a whole, so any mix of 150 kg, 300 kg and 600 kg platform scales and the 2000 kg pallet scale counts towards it. A cash and carry rarely needs several of one size; one goods-in scale and one pallet scale is the usual pair. Pallet trucks and trolleys have their own minimums and do not combine. Details on the minimum order page.

Trade account and trade credit for cash and carries, wholesalers and distributors
A trade account gives a UK limited company or LLP trade credit on scales, pallet trucks and trolleys, subject to checks. Apply on the trade account page with your business name, company number, contact details, delivery postcode and what you buy. We reply on WhatsApp.
You do not need an account to get a price. Any business can ask for a quote on WhatsApp and pay the deposit and balance as set out on the written quote.
Also made to order: pallet trucks and cash and carry trolleys
Weigh it, then move it. The electric pallet trucks at 1500 kg and 2000 kg move the pallet you just weighed, and a hand pallet truck at 2500 kg is the backup. For the shop floor, see cash and carry trolleys and roll cages. Each range has its own minimum order and all are quoted on WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
What is a platform scale?
A platform scale is an industrial weighing scale with a low, flat weighing platform and a separate indicator, built for loads a bench or parcel scale cannot take. Our range covers 150 kg, 300 kg and 600 kg platform scales plus a 2000 kg pallet scale, all check-weighing models for goods-in, despatch and inventory counts, made to order for business customers.
Do I need trade approved scales to sell by weight in the UK?
Yes. If the weight reading sets the price a customer pays, the scale must be trade approved under the Weights and Measures Act 1985 and the Non-automatic Weighing Instruments Regulations 2016. Our launch range is check-weighing only, for goods-in, despatch and inventory counts. Read the trade approved scales guide, or ask on WhatsApp and we will quote an approved model on request.
Is a calibrated scale the same as a trade approved scale?
No. Calibration checks a scale against test weights and gives a certificate. Trade approval is a legal conformity status under the NAWI Regulations 2016, shown by a boxed M on the data plate. A calibrated scale is not automatically legal for selling by weight, and an approved scale still needs routine calibration checks. Our platform scales are check-weighing models and carry no approval marking.
What capacity platform scale do I need?
Choose a capacity above your heaviest load, including the pallet, bin or crate. 150 kg suits parcels, sacks and cartons. 300 kg covers most goods-in checks and counter weighing. 600 kg handles drums, half pallets and loaded trolleys. For full pallets use the 2000 kg pallet scale. A bigger capacity usually means a coarser division, so do not oversize.
Do you sell used or second-hand platform scales?
No. London Pallet Trucks is sales only and every scale is new, made to order at our factory partners. We do not hire and we do not sell used equipment. Trade prices are quoted ex VAT on WhatsApp with one minimum order for the scales range, and a trade credit account, subject to checks, is available to UK limited companies and LLPs.
How much does a platform scale cost in the UK?
Trade prices are quoted per order, ex VAT, and are not printed on the site yet. Message us on WhatsApp with the capacity and quantity and you will get a written trade price with the delivery charge and lead time. Capacity, platform size and indicator features drive the price. Every quote is confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit.
How quickly can you deliver a platform scale in London?
Every scale is made to order at our factory partners, with a typical lead time of 8 to 12 weeks from order confirmation by sea freight. Air freight is quoted on request. We are London-based and deliver inside London and the M25 ourselves where possible; UK mainland goes by pallet carrier, kerbside, tail-lift. The delivery charge is confirmed with your quote.
Are platform scales battery or mains powered?
Most industrial indicators run on mains power with a rechargeable battery for use away from a socket, which matters on a goods-in bay or a market floor. The power option for each model is confirmed on the spec sheet sent with your quote. Tell us on WhatsApp whether the scale will sit near a socket and we will specify accordingly.
What scales does a cash and carry or wholesaler need?
Usually two: a counter scale for anything sold loose by weight, which must be trade approved, and a check-weighing platform or pallet scale for goods-in, despatch and inventory counts. Our launch range covers the second job with 150 kg to 600 kg platform scales and a 2000 kg pallet scale. Approved counter models can be quoted on request.
